Dog & Puppy Adoption

The Stark County Humane Society has many wonderful dogs and puppies waiting for a loving home. We urge you and your family to visit our shelter at 5100 Peach Street, Louisville, Ohio to adopt your next or first family pet today. Our shelter adoption hours are: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM Sunday. The shelter is closed Wednesdays and holidays.

Stark County Humane Society Dog adoption fees:
  • 8 Plus Years - $10.00
  • 5-7 Years - $15.00
  • 5 Months - 4 Years - $20.00
  • Pups (To 5 Months) - $25.00

A $35 refundable deposit is required on any animal that is not already spayed or neutered. This deposit is refunded to the adopted upon proof that the animal has been spayed or neutered. Due to the over population of the animals in our community, this is not an option, it is required of all adoptions of any unaltered animal adoption. The shelter does not accept personal checks for adoptions of animals. The shelter will accept cash or credit cards.

Stark County Humane Society surrender fees:
  • Puppies under 5 months - $7.00
  • Dogs over 5 months - $15.00
