Dog & Puppy Adoption
The Stark County Humane Society has many wonderful dogs and puppies waiting for
a loving home. We urge you and your family to visit our shelter at 5100 Peach Street,
Louisville, Ohio to adopt your next or first family pet today. Our shelter adoption
hours are: 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM Sunday. 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM Monday and Thursday. 11:00
AM - 5:00 PM Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. The shelter is closed Wednesdays and
holidays.
Upon adoption of an animal, the Humane Society will issue a voucher to receive a
free veterinary exam good for up to two weeks from the date of adoption. Spaying
or neutering of any animal is a mandatory procedure after adoption and at the appropriate
age of the animal. A $35 deposit is required on any animal at the time of adoption,
unless the animal has already been spayed or neutered. This deposit is refunded
to you upon presentation of proof from a Veterinarian that the animal has been spayed
or neutered. The Humane Society will issue you a Spay/Neuter voucher to assist you
in the cost of the procedure.
Due to the over population of the animals in our community, spaying or neutering
is not an option, it is a requirement on all adoptions of any unaltered animal.
The shelter does not accept personal checks for adoptions of animals. The shelter
will accept cash or credit cards only.
