Volunteers
Our volunteers are an essential part of our programs and our efforts on behalf of the animals. The volunteers may work directly with the animals at the shelter (cleaning, feeding, walking and socializing the animals) or may serve during special events such as the annual Waterfall & Pond Tour, Mutt Strut, Pet Photos with Santa, the county fair booth, the shelter Open House, and other activities in the community. Our volunteers also assist us in continuing our educational presentations in local schools and our pet therapy programs in area nursing homes. It is impossible to express how important the volunteers are to our continued work.
Volunteers under the age of 18 must have their parent/legal guardian sign a waiver prior to them volunteering. Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian while volunteering at the shelter.
