The Humane Society is a non-profit organization serving the human and animal population of Stark County for over 100 years.
Besides providing a safe haven for the unwanted dogs and cats in our community, we find new and loving homes for them as well.
We conduct educational programs in schools, K through 12. We take our pets to area nursing homes to visit the elderly. Sometimes this is the only time some of the residents get a visit. We have been named Employer of the Year by Goodwill Industries several times. We perform these tasks without governmental funding whatsoever and rely solely on bequests, fundraisers, memberships and donations.
