Educational Programs
Supporting and protecting the four-legged community.
Having pets is more than just fun and pet ownership is more than giving them a place to stay. The first and most important part of responsible pet ownership is commitment, making and keeping a commitment today and into the future. You’re committing to providing for the physical and emotional well-being of the animal.
Through our Stark County Humane Society animal education programs, you’ll find that includes essentials such as proper nutrition and exercise, a safe environment, grooming, training, socializing, regular veterinarian care, and more.
Smarter pet owners mean safer pets.
Our animal educational programs remain a top priority for Stark County Humane Society. These programs contain age-appropriate instructions regarding responsible pet ownership. The programs include videos, discussions with the students, and interaction with shelter animals that are transported to the schools by volunteers and/or staff.
Through these educational efforts, it is our hope that these children will grow into responsible pet owners who love and care for their animals. We also welcome volunteer groups of students to help at the shelter.
