Humane Society Membership Funds Everyday Needs
Our animals have been through enough — neglect, abuse, whatever their situation. So we want to make them as comfortable and cared for as we can afford. Everyday needs never go away, which makes stable, consistent forms of funding a necessity. We love our donors and appreciate every contribution — however, the best way to support our pets-in-waiting is through a Stark County Humane Society membership.
We’re in constant need of items such as:
food and treats | litter | bedding | blankets and towels | toys | cleaning and grooming supplies | collars, leashes, and harnesses | crates and carriers | kennels and exercise pens | scales | vet services and spaying/neutering
Our facility also has ongoing costs: electricity, heating/cooling | refrigeration | upkeep and repairs | phones and Internet | rent and taxes

Unlike their past experiences, our rescues need to eat every day and stay in clean, healthful conditions. You can make up the difference and help them experience happiness while awaiting their FURever homes.
In 2024, we had 3,994 Humane Society memberships. While donors’ contributions of funds and supplies for the shelter remain an important part of our very existence, we appreciate the continuing support of our members for our many activities and programs.
