Ways to Donate
It’s easy to help by donating to the animal shelter online.
The Stark County Humane Society is a private, charitable organization serving the human and animal population of Stark County for over 100 years. Besides providing a safe haven for the unwanted dogs and cats in our community, we find new and loving homes for them as well.
We are not a county agency and we do not receive funding from the United Way. Our continued existence and success depends upon the support of the community through humane society donations.
We conduct educational programs in schools, K through 12. We take our pets to area nursing homes to visit the elderly. Sometimes this is the only time some of the residents get a visit. Stark County Humane Society has been named Employer of the Year by Goodwill Industries several times. We perform these tasks without governmental funding whatsoever and rely solely on bequests, fundraisers, memberships, and humane society donations.

Dogs don’t like office politics and cats or bunny paws don’t do well on keyboards.
Our furry friends don’t want to have to get up and go to work every day — even though they have bills to pay. From food and litter to cleaning supplies and carriers, Stark County Humane Society relies on our human friends' humane society donations so that the pets-in-waiting don’t have to 9-to-5 it and chip in.
